One-Eyed Shark Shocks Scientists

Off the coast of Gulf of California in Mexico, a fisherman caught a pregnant female shark. When he opened her belly, he was surprised to discovered a fetal shark that had only one eye. Initially skeptical, scientists who examined the shark determined that it's the real thing. The very rare condition that also occurs in other animals is called "cyclopia".
